The adoption community called her “Luna the Lion-hearted” and she stole our hearts the very first time we laid eyes on her.
She was a 2-year-old fighter with a complex heart condition and no parents living in a foster home in China. Time and time again, this lion-hearted little lady defeated the odds, surviving day after day and surgery after surgery when the world said she should have been dead.
In December, Sage Harvest partnered with graphic artist Jenny Randle at Yellow Chair Creatives to sell Bold as a Lion t-shirts to raise money for Luna’s adoption, knowing Luna’s best chances of survival would be inside a family who could provide the love and life-saving surgery Luna really needed.
But just before the shirts arrived, Luna the Lion-hearted went home to be with another lion — the Lion of Judah.
We may not have been able to raise the funds Luna needed before she went Home, but we can partner with Love Without Boundaries to ensure that another child doesn’t go Home without living long enough to experience an earthly one first.
Robb is a baby boy with a complex heart condition, and he, like Luna, needs major heart surgery in order to survive. Sage Harvest will be selling Luna’s shirts in order to fund his surgery.
We couldn’t change Luna’s story, but in her memory, with her lion heart, we CAN change Robb’s.
