...and if you spend yourselves in behalf of the hungry and satisfy the needs of the oppressed, then your light will rise in the darkness, and your night will become like the noonday.

Isaiah 58:10

We would like to introduce you to our Featured Family, The Campbells

Tell us a little about your family:

Matt and I have been married for 11.5 years! After 3 years of married we packed up our home and started our journey as a military family. Over the years we've experienced multiple deployments and cross-country moves. In 2013 our daughter Brooklyn was born and she has been such a joy to raise in our family!

What led you to adopt:

We have adoption woven into our family.Matt was adopted as well as his two younger siblings and our niece. After struggling to get pregnant for a second time we are looking to expand our family by way of adoption. We have felt a strong calling over the last year as we recently moved to a new community where we have met many families adopting or have recently adopted both domestically and internationally!

How has adoption changed you?:

We are hoping that our one step of faith, that feels inadequate and so small, God will use for good and he will be glorified through our story! As emotional and hard as this journey has been, God gives us unexplainable peace. We have never had to rely on God more than we are now and it's strengthening and stretching our faith like never before!

One parting thought to those considering adoption:

We felt a very strong calling for a while before we stepped into the process. I might even say I went into the process kicking and screaming a little. A friend shared that in her experience she just had to take little steps one at a time while feeling very inadequate and unsure all along the way. If the door opened she would move forward. It was easier for me to open my heart a little at a time and allow God to peel away the layers during this process.
